Parenting Boys K-5 - Full


This group is for any parent or caregiver of children who identify as boys, ages 5-12 or in grades Kindergarten - 5th Grade.  This class will be a supportive community for those who feel challenged by the demands of parenting their grade-school boy and/or who are interested in building and maintaining a strong parent/child dynamic heading into puberty and beyond, and will include evidence-based information on child development, parenting philosophy and practices, and the lowdown on mainstream trends and ways they may affect boys.  Topics may include academics and achievement pressure, play, masculinity, emotional literacy and regulation, puberty and sexuality, peer relationships, technology & gaming, sibling dynamics, fostering physical and mental health, and supporting autonomy.

The following Thursdays 5:45-7:00 pm:

  • January 9, 2025 - in person

  • February 6, 2025  - via zoom

  • March 6, 2025 - via zoom

In-Person Classes will be held at the Edina Senior Center,  5280 Grandview Square, Edina, MN

Parents who enroll in BOTH this class AND Parenting Middle School Boys will receive a $50 rebate back from their combined ($550) tuition.
