Classes Exclusively for Highlands Elementary Parents
The Highlands PTO is thrilled to be offering Parent Education classes for our families this year. In partnership with Sarah Hardy, MEd and former Highlands parent, the Highlands PTO is launching courses designed to enable our community of parents to learn, connect and grow our children together! Let’s meet and discuss parenting in the time of Covid-19.
Parenting Your Highlands Kindergartener in the Time of Covid-19
Join a community of Highlands kindergarten parents for six weeks of research-based parenting wisdom and support during this unprecedented time. Topics may include managing screen time, importance of play, health & safety, supporting academic learning during Covid, routines and rituals, family solidarity, sibling dynamics, anxiety and perfectionism, social development during physical distancing, & resilience. Both Hybrid and EVA parent are welcome.
Classes are: Tuesdays 8:00-9:00 am November 10 through December 15, 2020
Cost : $90 per person, 10 person minimum/ 20 max

Parenting Your Highlands Huskie (Grade 1-3) in the Time of Covid-19
Join a community of Highlands 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade parents committed to meeting weekly, receive fact- and research-based parenting wisdom and support during this unprecedented time. Topics may include health & safety, supporting academic learning during Covid, routines and rituals, family solidarity, sibling dynamics, anxiety and perfectionism, social development during physical distancing, & resilience. Both Hybrid and EVA parent are welcome.
Classes are: Thursdays 10:30-11:30 am November 5 through December 17, 2020 (no class Thanksgiving Thursday November 26)
Cost: $90 per person, 10 person minimum/ 20 max

Join a community of Highlands 4th and 5th grade parents committed to meeting weekly, receive fact- and research-based parenting wisdom and support during this unprecedented time. Topics may include health & safety, supporting academic learning during Covid, routines and rituals, family solidarity, sibling dynamics, anxiety and perfectionism, social development during physical distancing, & resilience. Both Hybrid and EVA parent are welcome.
Classes are: Mondays 9:00-10:00 am November 9 through December 14, 2020
Cost: $90 per person, 10 person minimum/20 max
